Who can resist these cute cupcakes decorated with hearts. For an added touch, you can fill the cupcake with a cherry or strawberry crème filling. Yum! A dozen might not be enough, but you can always make more.
Bakery/Cake Goods needed:
Directions for making the hearts: Step 1: Roll out the two colored balls of fondant on a flat surface. You can use wax paper underneath if you need to. Step 2: With the heart cutters cut out even number of heart shapes from each color fondant. To make the larger heart, use the food safe paint brush and water to attach one heart to the other. Vary the colors to add interest. Set aside cut outs on wax paper to harden. Directions for Icing the Cupcake: Step 1: Fill the icing bags with plain Butter Cream and the other with pink Butter Cream and fit the opening with a 1M tip. Using a circular motion, squeeze out icing to cover the top of the cupcakes. Step 2: Place the fondant hearts on your cupcakes. You can vary the number, size and color of hearts you use to suit your taste.
