Wedding Shower Cupcakes

Difficulty Level: Easy

Who wouldn't enjoy these lovely pink and white bridal shower cupcakes. The flowers are super easy to make and give these cupcakes a modern look without the need to over decorate.

Bakery/Cake Goods Needed:

• Your favorite batch of vanilla cupcakes
• Your favorite butter cream frosting

Flower Decoration Supplies:

• 1 small batch of premade fondant
• Small rolling pin
• Daisy flower cutter
(medium and small sizes)
• Wax paper
• Pink food color
  (we used Wilton’s paste food color)
• Pink and white candy sprinkles

Cupcake Icing Tools:

• Wilton #1M Star Tip
• Icing Bag

Finishing Touches:

• Pale Pink or White cupcake liners

Directions for making the flowers:

Step 1: Divide the premade fondant in half. Tint one half pink. Leave the other half white.

Step 2: With the rolling pin, roll out the pink and white fondant on a flat surface. With the different size daisy cutters, cut out shapes from the fondant.

Step 3: Press candy sprinkles into centers of small flowers. Roll small balls of white and pink fondant for the centers of the larger flowers. Set these aside to dry.

Directions for Icing the Cupcakes:

Step 1: Divide butter cream in half. Tint one part pink and leave the rest white. Fill the icing bag with pink butter cream and fit the opening with the Wilton #1M Star metal tip. Using a circular motion, squeeze out white icing to cover the top of the cupcakes. Fill another icing bag with pink icing and ice the remaining cupcakes with pink butter cream.

Step 2: Place a large daisy and two small daisies on each cupcake. Vary the colors to keep the decorations interesting.
