Hassle-Free Pumpkin Cupcake

Difficulty Level: Easy

Don't have the time to hassle with icing cupcakes with precision? Try the easy ice and dip method! This cupcake decorating idea is based on a design from Hello, Cupcake by Karen Tack and Alan Richardson. The cupcakes are so cute and creative, we can't wait to try them out, too!

Start by tinting butter cream frosting orange. You can ice your cupcake with a spatula or pipe a swirl using a round tip (Ateco #808 or Wilton #2A). Smooth the icing with a spatula to remove any ridges or gaps. Pour orange sugar sprinkles into a bowl and dip the iced cupcake into the sugar. Be sure to coat the cupcake evenly. Pipe definition lines on your pumpkins with a little left-over orange icing and a Wilton #13 star tip. Finish off the design with a pumpkin stem made from white rolled fondant tinted green or green candy (ours was Twizzlers). Fashion pumpkin vines from the same fondant or from green candy. We created our vines from green Tootsie Roll candy.
