Pom Pom Cupcake Topper

These adorable pom pom cupcake toppers look complicated, but Xiaolu from 6 Bittersweets breaks it all down step by step. First, you start with tissue paper in your favorite color. All you need next is a 2" round paper punch, a needle and thread, some double-stick tape and a bamboo skewer.

Punch out the tissue with the round paper punch and secure the sheets together with a piece of thread. After that you cut with scissors and fluff to create pom poms with amazing volume!

I can picture these in pretty pink or blue tissue for a baby shower. (Add some matching sugar or candy sprinkles and place them in fun polka-dot cupcake wrappers in coordinating colors!) Or how about a dramatic hot pink pom pom with a delicious chocolate bow tied underneath. They would look simply stunning on a rich fudge frosted cupcake. Thanks Xiaolu for sharing such a wonderful idea!
