Fancy Cupcake Wrappers
The intricate lace patterns on these fancy cupcake wrappers makes them hard to ignore.
Even the simplest iced cupcake will look like a million bucks dressed up in one of these wrappers. Many people find these styles suitable for weddings, bridal showers or mother's day celebrations. Some are punched out with a die, others are cut with a laser with exquisite detailing. Be careful though, the delicate nature of some of these designs means they need to be handled carefully. If the lacy pattern is thin, be careful not to get them damp since the edges can curl or crumple. Otherwise, these wrappers hold up quite well.
Lacy Doily Wrapper
You can make your very own lacy cupcake wrap easily and inexpensively using doilies! So simple and economical, you'll wonder why you didn't think of this yourself.
To make your own a lacy cupcake wrapper you will need:
(Note: These wrappers fit standard size cupcakes)
- 1 10" Doily
- Scissors
- Tape
- 1 Standard-size Cupcakes
Step 1: Start with a nice 10" doily. You can pick these up at local craft stores and some supermarkets stock them as well.
Step 2: Trim the center portion of the doily from the lacy edges. Cut the edges into thirds.
Step 3: Wrap the lacy edges around your cupcake using tape to secure it in place.
One doily makes cupcake wraps for two to three "standard" cupcakes.
