Directions for making the pumpkins:

Step 1: Break off a medium amount of fondant and tint it orange. Roll the fondant into balls. Using the butter knife, score lines into the sides of the pumpkin. Flatten the bottoms slightly.

Step 2: Tint a small amount of fondant moss green. Poke a hole in the top of the pumpkin. Form a stem with a small amount of green fondant. Roll another small amount into a thin strand and wrap around the toothpick. Let strand hard slightly. Attach green stem and coiled strand to pumpkin using water and the paint brush. Set aside the assembled pieces on the wax paper to harden.

Directions for making the fall leaves:

Step 1: Break off a small ball of fondant and tint it yellow.

Step 2: Roll out the fondant and cut out leave shapes. Using the butter knife, score "veins" into the leaves. Let leaves dry on wax paper. For an added touch, let leaves dry on a leaf former so they have a curved shape.

Step 3: Using the food safe paint brush, dab the surface of the leaves with green food coloring. Blend color into the leaf using water and dab dry with paper towel. When the green coloring has set, add brown highlights with ivory paste food color. Let dry completely.

Directions for Icing the Cupcake:

Step 1: Fill the icing bag with butter cream and fit the opening with the 804 tip. Using a circular motion, squeeze out icing to cover the top of the cupcakes.

Step 2: Place an acorn leaf on top and set the pumpkin along side it.

Directions Finishing Touches:
