Cream Cheese Frosting from Red Velvet Cupcake Recipe


This cream cheese frosting is typically seen on carrot cakes, enhanced with unsalted butter this recipe is sure to please any cupcake lover.

Ingredients:


  • 2 cups (16 oz) cream cheese

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted

Directions:

Step 1: Beat butter until softened and cream in cream cheese.

Step 2: Gradually add powdered sugar.

Step 3: Stir in vanilla.

Makes approximately 3 - 4 cups of frosting.

  • 1/2 grated lemon rind
