Christmas Cupcake Wrappers

Imagine creating a dozen or so of these Christmas Cupcake Wrappers. No doubt santa will be jealous!


Jolly Ol' Christmas Cupcake Wrappers

With a little inspiration from fellow scrapbookers, we came up with this design for a fun Christmas wrap. Of course, we made these with cupcakes in mind, but you can fill them with holiday candies as well and use them for favors.

Materials/Supplies needed:

  • Sturdy piece of red scrapbook or construction paper
  • Transparent Tape
  • Glue Stick
  • Small sheet of white felt

Tools Needed:

  • Straight-edged cupcake wrapper template (You can use a template to make the wrapper or cut a wrapper using a die-cut machine and die pattern)
  • Scissors

Directions:

Step 1: Trace wrapper pattern onto your scrapbook or construction paper and felt with pencil.

Step 2: Cut the pattern out of both materials with scissors.

Step 3: Trim 1/2" from the top of the felt piece and using glue stick, secure it to the red paper at the top edge.

Step 4: Wrap the paper wrapper around your finished cupcake and secure with tape. (If you need something stronger, use a staple.)


Holiday Gingerbread Wrapper

These Christmas cupcake wrappers are so darling, you'll have as much trouble hanging on to them as the cupcakes themselves. Feel free to change up the color ric-rac and buttons to match whatever look you desire. Materials/Supplies Used:

  • Sturdy piece of medium brown scrapbook or construction paper
  • Transparent tape (optional)
  • Glue Stick
  • White ric-rac trim
  • Green and red plastic buttons
  • Glue gun or glue dots

Tools Needed:

  • Straight-edged cupcake wrapper template (You can use a template to make the wrapper or cut a wrapper using a die-cut machine and die pattern)
  • Scissors

Directions:

Step 1: Cut your wrapper from the brown paper using method of your choice. Assemble the wrapper. Use a bit of tape if you need something stronger to hold the wrapper together.

Step 2: Start at the top part of your wrapper and wrap the trim around the top giving it about a 1/4" distance from the edge. Cut trim to fit with scissors. Attach in place with the glue stick. Repeat this step at the bottom of the wrapper.

Step 3: Using the glue gun or glue dots, attach one green and one red button to the front of the wrapper. Press the buttons firmly in place.


Red Bow
Christmas Cupcake Wrappers

Materials/Supplies Used:

  • Sturdy piece of red scrapbook or construction paper
  • Transparent tape (optional)
  • 3/4" wide red velvet ribbon
  • Glue gun and glue dots

Tools Needed:

  • Straight-edged cupcake wrapper template (You can use a template to make the wrapper or cut a wrapper using a die-cut machine and die pattern)
  • Scissors

Directions:

Step 1: Cut your wrapper from the red paper using method of your choice. Assemble the wrapper. Use a bit of tape if you need something stronger to hold the wrapper together.

Step 2: Cut a piece of velvet ribbon about 5" long. Turn ribbon over smooth side up. Place a line of glue down the center of the ribbon and curl the two ribbon ends toward the center. Press down and allow glue to adhere.

Step 3: When glue is cool, fold the ribbon in half and trim a small triangle from each corner.

Step 4: Cut another piece of ribbon about 2" long. Measure off 1/2" on each end. Fold the ribbon and cut a triangle or notch on either side. Repeat on the other end. Trim the center portion of the ribbon to resemble a smooth oval.

Step 5: Place this smaller ribbon across the notched center of the looped ribbon. Glue ends together on the back.

Step 6: Cut two more piece of ribbon about 1" long. Cut a dove-tail on the end and attach to back of large ribbon with hot glue.

Step 7: Attach finished bow to the front of your wrapper.


Holiday Greetings
Christmas Cupcake Wrappers

Materials/Supplies Used:

  • Sturdy piece of white scrapbook or construction paper
  • Holiday wrapping paper or scrapbook paper in the color/pattern of your choice
  • 1/4" red ribbon
  • "Happy Holidays" or other holiday message stamp
  • Gold stamp ink
  • Gold embossing powder
  • 1/8" hole punch
  • Transparent tape (optional)

Tools Needed:

  • Scallop-edged cupcake wrapper template (You can use a template to make the wrapper or cut a wrapper using a die-cut machine and die pattern)
  • Straight-edge Scissors
  • Scallop-edge scissors
  • Embossing Heat Tool

Directions:

Step 1: Cut your wrapper from the white paper using method of your choice. Assemble the wrapper. Use a bit of tape if you need something stronger to hold the wrapper together.

Step 2: Cut using the scalloped-wrapper as a template, trace and cut a second wrapper from the holiday paper. However, trim off ½” of paper from the top of the wrapper. Wrap this around the white scalloped wrapper and secure in place with tape.

Step 3: Using the holiday message stamp and gold ink, stamp message onto white scrapbook paper. Sprinkle with embossing powder and set powder with embossing heat tool.

Step 4: Cut message out in a square or oval with the straight edged scissors. With the scalloped-edged scissors, cut the same shape slightly larger than the message from a piece of solid red paper. Glue the holiday message to the scalloped piece you just trimmed.

Step 5: Place the message tag against the front of the cupcake wrapper. With the hole punch, punch two holes at the top.

Step 6: Thread a 5” piece of ¼” red ribbon through the holes and tie into a bow.


Snowflake Christmas
Cupcake Wrappers

The snowflake punch makes it easy to put together these very lovely Christmas cupcake wrappers. Make a few extra snowflakes and fashion them into matching toppers to create a fun coordinated look. Materials/Supplies Used:

  • Sturdy piece of red and white scrapbook or construction paper
  • Transparent tape (optional)
  • Glue Stick
  • Snowflake hole punch (approximately 1” in diameter)
  • Glue gun or glue dots

Tools Needed:

  • Straight-edged cupcake wrapper template (You can use a template to make the wrapper or cut a wrapper using a die-cut machine and die pattern)

Directions:

Step 1: Cut your wrapper from the red paper using method of your choice. Assemble the wrapper. Use a bit of tape if you need something stronger to hold the wrapper together.

Step 2: With the snowflake hole punch, cut snowflakes from the white paper.

Step 3: Using the glue gun or glue dots, attach the snowflake on the contrasting color wrapper. Press firmly in place.
