Step 1: After kneading the fondant, break off a small ball. Roll the ball into a semi-sausage. With your fingers form it into a pear shape with the widest part creating your base.
Step 2: Break off another smaller piece of fondant and roll into an oval shape. This is the cat's head. With paint brush, dab a bit of water at the top of the pear shape and attach the oval.
Step 3: Roll a third piece of fondant into a long, thin string, but not too thin. Attach with water to the side of the cat's body and curl over the tip. This is the tail.
Step 4: Flatten a piece of fondant, and with a sharp knife, but out two small triangles. Attach thos to the top of the cat's head.
Step 5: Press two sugar pearls into the cat's head to form eyes. Using the decorator pens, draw in irises and pupils.
Directions for Icing the Cat Cupcakes:
Step 1: Fill the icing bag with orange butter cream and fit the opening with a 1M tip. Using a circular motion, squeeze out icing to cover the top of the cupcakes.
Step 2: Place the cat on top of the cupcake.
